¹ Phish debut.
² Unfinished.
This show featured the first Alumni Blues since July 24, 1999 (224 shows) and the first Letter to Jimmy Page since July 15, 1994 (590 shows). This show featured the Phish debut of Free Man in Paris (Joni Mitchell). Chalk Dust was unfinished. 2001 contained a Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' quote from Trey, the ensuing Billie Jean Jam contained a Thriller tease from Trey, and the second "verse" of 2001 contained still more Billie Jean teases, all on the first anniversary of Michael Jackson's death. Billie Jean was a Phish debut.
It’s so stupendous, living in this tube
Bustouts and debuts are Phish.net’s gap on the row. Version rankings and “hot this year” are counted over the shows in THIS archive — not all of history until the backfill finishes — and lengths are phish.in’s timings. Rarities use Phish.net’s all-time play count; long odds are shows played since the song’s debut divided by its plays (see the rarity index on LizardStats).

Straight off the phish.in timings, longest first. What this can’t tell you yet is whether any of these is a big version — that needs each song’s own history to compare against, which is the next thing to pull in. After that: phish.in publishes a jam-start marker per track, so the composed section and the improvisation can be separated and measured properly. That’s what belongs in this tube.
