This was the first Phish New Year’s performance. Trey and Mike wore tuxedos and top hats to commemorate the event. Fish came out for I Didn’t Know wearing a top hat and a g-string with tuxedo tails. The opening act was The Ululators.

Bustouts and debuts are Phish.net’s gap on the row. Version rankings and “hot this year” are counted over the shows in THIS archive — not all of history until the backfill finishes — and lengths are phish.in’s timings. Rarities use Phish.net’s all-time play count; long odds are shows played since the song’s debut divided by its plays (see the rarity index on LizardStats).

Straight off the phish.in timings, longest first. What this can’t tell you yet is whether any of these is a big version — that needs each song’s own history to compare against, which is the next thing to pull in. After that: phish.in publishes a jam-start marker per track, so the composed section and the improvisation can be separated and measured properly. That’s what belongs in this tube.
